Frequently Asked Questions
Nobody's asked me any questions yet, this is new, send me a question at hello@aaba.app! If I had to guess what people would ask, they would ask the following:
- When I press the 'Tip Me' button, there is a picture of a dog, who is that?
- That is my dog Remy, and yes he is a good boy.
- How do I sign in?
- Enter your email on the sign-in page. We send a 6-digit code that's valid for 5 minutes. No passwords.
- What privacy settings should I choose?
- Depends on how you want to use the platform. If you are just looking for shows to see, private is fine. To interact on the platform at all your settings must be at least set to 'Required Only' (the default). If you want to be searchable on the platform as an improviser/coach/accompanist your profile visibility setting should be public (contact information visibility can remain 'Required Only' or lower). - Do you handle payments of coaches/accompanists through the app?
- No, any payments to coaches/accompanist/drop-in hosts should be discussed beforehand.
- How does booking a coach or accompanist work?
- Create an event, add a coach or accompanist role to it, and either open the call to anyone or target specific people. Qualified improvisers flag their availability and you confirm whoever you want.
- What if my confirmed coach can no longer attend?
- They can request a replacement, which reopens the role for other qualified users until you confirm someone new.
- How does team scheduling polls work?
- A team admin picks up to 7 candidate days for the practice for team members and a preferred coach/accompanist to fill in 30-minute availability blocks. The admin reviews the overlaps and picks a time, which locks in a confirmed rehearsal or performance.
- Do I need an account to use the app?
- Yes, and even then you will only be able to see individuals/teams/events based on their individual privacy policies. Suggestion generator is available to anyone though.
- Can I delete my account?
- Yes. Account deletion is permanent and removes your personal information. Events you participated in are retained in summary form for the records of confirmed counterparties.
